Boerne ISD seeks an Academic Dean to support the principal in organizing, administering, and supervising personnel, instruction, curriculum, budget, and public information. Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas Mid-Management, Supervisor, or Principal Certification.
• Three (3) years campus-level administrative experience or curriculum/instruction leadership.
• Current Certification in or ability to obtain: Advanced Education Leadership (AEL) certification, Instructional Leadership Training (ILT), or Instructional Leadership Development (ILD) and T-TESS appraiser certification.
• Must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee (approximately $50.00) paid by the candidate.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and assists teachers in curriculum planning to provide effective learning experiences.
• Observes teachers in classrooms, evaluates performance, and provides feedback.
• Supervises Department Coordinators and Subject Area Facilitators in curriculum and achievement guidelines.
• Assists in interviewing and selecting campus instructional staff.
• Plan and implement staff development programs to raise instructional performance.
• Coordinate student assessment programs and interpret test data.
• Improve instructional delivery with Curriculum & Instruction staff and coordinate remedial programs.
• Oversee MTSS implementation and data-driven interventions for student success.
• Serve as Campus MTSS Facilitator and manage documentation platform.
• Maintain CCMR tracking aligned with district accountability expectations.
• Ensure data integrity through training on district data platforms.
• Monitor student records to ensure graduation requirements; coordinate transcripts and FAFSA requirements.
• Develop campus master schedule aligned to improvement plan and district timelines.
• Collaborate with counselors on credits earned and transcript postings.
• Assist with planning and monitoring of student scheduling.
• Assist in developing campus budgets related to staff development and instruction.
• Coordinate instructional technology programs.
• Conduct conferences with parents, students, and teachers on school issues.
• Develop teaching methodologies and monitor School Improvement Plan and master schedule.
• Analyze teacher and campus-made tests for relevancy and content.
• Improve course offerings and instructional delivery to boost student achievement.
• Plan programs and activities for campus parent involvement.
