Job summary

The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) invites motivated college students or recent graduates to join the Spring 2027 Internship Program in Washington, DC. Interns will work under senior analysts, receiving hands-on training and exposure to cutting-edge open-source analysis in geopolitics and national security.

ISW offers in-person, remote, and hybrid internships with a rolling review process. Selected interns may gain academic credit and a monthly scholarship up to $1,000, with CPT

Qualifications

• Motivated and organized college students or recent graduates.
• Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills.
• Strong language abilities or Python programming encouraged.
• Ability to perform complex tasks in a timely, independent manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist analysts and participate in open-source collection and analysis.
• Contribute to long-term research projects on regional topics.
• Support editing, documentation, and preparation of publications and briefs.
