Job summary

The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) invites motivated college students or recent graduates to join our Internship Program for Spring 2027 in the United States, including Washington, DC. Interns gain hands-on research experience across portfolios and receive mentorship from senior analysts.

Interns will conduct open-source collection and analysis, contribute to weekly updates, edit materials for publications, and help plan events and briefings.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be college students or recent graduates.
• Excellent writing, editing, and oral communication skills.
• Korean language capabilities are preferred; other languages are a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Support research teams across portfolios in a fast-paced setting.
• Assist with drafting, editing, and publication of research materials.
• Help plan and run public events and private briefings.
• Contribute to weekly updates and specialty reports.
