Job summary

The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) invites motivated college students or recent graduates to join our internship program in a hybrid capacity in Washington, DC. Interns will work under senior analysts on diverse research portfolios including China and Taiwan, gaining hands-on training and mentorship.

ISW provides classroom education, leadership engagement, and access to advanced technologies used in open-source intelligence.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing, editing, and oral communication skills.
• Motivated college students or recent graduates with related expertise.
• Strong language capabilities in Mandarin preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist analysts and support China & Taiwan Update (CTU) initiatives.
• Edit, document, and compile materials for publications.
• Collaborate with the wider research team on longer term products.
• Support planning and execution of public events and private briefings.
