Job summary

Portland Rescue Mission seeks a Middle Donor and Events Specialist to manage a caseload of 300–350 donors and expand engagement through strategic events. The role blends administrative duties with high-touch donor care, aiming to move donors toward deeper financial commitment.

The specialist will collaborate with the Advancement team, practice hospitality, and steward donors with empathy and effective communication. A college degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Proven donor relations experience and ability to engage diverse donors.
• Excellent interpersonal, conversational, and presentation skills.
• Comfort with personal financial discussions and asking for commitments.

Responsibilities

• Manage 300–350 middle donors with a strategic communications plan.
• Coordinate donor engagement and events to deepen relationships.
• Acknowledge gifts and coordinate with Advancement team.
