Job Overview

A distinguished law firm is seeking a mid- to senior-level associate to join its Energy, Infrastructure, and Project Finance practice. The ideal candidate will handle high-level matters related to the development, acquisition, and financing of renewable energy projects, with a focus on project contracts, M&A, and financing transactions. Duties

1. Represent sponsors and financing parties in renewable energy project transactions
2. Draft, review, and negotiate development and project operation contracts, including:
1. EPC Agreements
2. Supply Agreements
3. Offtake Agreements
4. O&M Agreements
3. Work on M&A transactions and financing agreements, including tax equity and debt financing
4. Collaborate directly with clients, internal teams, and third-party advisors
5. Take ownership of projects and contribute to complex legal solutions in the energy sector

Requirements

1. Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the energy industry
2. Prior work in a large law firm with a national reputation or an equivalent in-house counsel role
3. Significant experience with renewable energy projects
4. Strong understanding of project development contracts and/or energy financing documentation

Education

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a top-tier accredited law school

Certifications

Active member in good standing with the State Bar in the state of residence
