  • Demonstrated experience representing corporations in all aspects of tariff and customs related matters.
  • Knowledge of administrative protests, rulings, internal advice proceedings, penalty and mitigation proceedings, country of origin and marking issues, drawback claims, and duty and tariff preference regimes.
  • Experience regarding customs enforcement, tariff mitigation, audits, duty savings programs, anti-dumping and countervailing duties, customs litigation, and voluntary partnership programs.
  • Ability to independently manage complex tariffs and customs issues with minimal supervision.
  • Interest in staying updated on changes in trade laws and regulations to offer timely and accurate advice.
  • Availability for sporadic work and adaptability to fluctuations in workload.
  • Flexibility to potentially increase hours as needed.
  • High-level of responsiveness and client service skills.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Excellent writing skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to produce high-quality work to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Experience in other areas of international trade -- e.g., export controls (EAR and ITAR), trade sanctions and CFIUS – are desirable but not essential for successful candidacy for this position.
