Job Overview

A prestigious national law firm is seeking a mid- to senior-level associate attorney with over four years of relevant experience to join its Energy, Infrastructure, and Project Finance practice. The position involves working with high-profile clients in the renewable energy sector and handling complex transactions related to the development, acquisition, and financing of energy projects. The role offers meaningful responsibility and frequent client interaction within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

Duties
  1. Represent sponsors, developers, and financing parties in connection with renewable energy transactions.
  2. Draft and negotiate key legal documents related to project development and operation, including:
    1. Supply Agreements
    2. Offtake Agreements
    3. O&M (Operations & Maintenance) Agreements
  3. Advise on M&A and financing arrangements, including:
    1. Tax equity financing
    2. Ancillary transactional agreements
  4. Maintain ongoing client communication and collaborate with third-party advisors.
  5. Take ownership of projects while contributing legal insight at all stages of the deal lifecycle.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 4 years of experience in the energy industry.
  2. Experience gained at a large national law firm or equivalent in-house counsel role.
  3. Familiarity with the legal aspects of renewable energy project development, M&A, and financing.
  4. Ability to independently manage complex transactions and deadlines.
Education

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a top-tier, accredited law school.

Certifications

Active member in good standing with the bar of the state in which the candidate resides.
