Job summary

Primoris Energy Services is seeking a skilled Medium Equipment Operator to join our Russell Springs, KY team. You will safely operate medium-sized construction equipment for site prep, excavation, and material handling on active projects.

Responsibilities include performing pre-operation inspections, adhering to safety regulations, loading/unloading materials, and coordinating with supervisors. CDL is preferred but not required, and a drug screen will be required.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience operating medium-sized heavy equipment.
• Proven ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong knowledge of construction site safety practices.
• Ability to read grade stakes and blueprints.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and outdoor work.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate medium-sized heavy equipment such as water trucks, articulated off-road trucks, motor graders, rollers and forklifts.
• Perform daily pre-operation inspections of equipment and report any maintenance issues or defects.
• Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures on the job site.
• Load and unload materials, grade surfaces, dig trenches, clear land, and perform other tasks as directed.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and other personnel on the job site.
• Assist with general labor duties on the ground when equipment operation is not required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.
• Follow project plans and specifications.
