Labor Solutions, LLC is seeking a Mechanical Technician in Saint Paul, MN to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities. The role involves project work, fabrication, and interface with operators to improve production reliability.

The position requires hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing tasks, and is based at our Minnesota headquarters. Schedule includes first/second shift bridging and some flexibility in hours to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintaining mechanical equipment and facilities.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and determine corrective actions.
• Familiarity with fabrication of repair parts and custom components.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical machine issues and identify repairs.
• Install and replace mechanical/electrical parts per specs.
• Create preventive maintenance checklists and perform scheduled checks.
• Record maintenance activities in CMMS and manage work orders.
• Fabricate repair parts using mill/lathe and welding.
• Inspect and test damaged parts and perform replacements as needed.
• Coordinate with operators to identify improvement opportunities.

Job DescriptionJob Description

Schedule:This position bridges our first and second shift operations, providing maintenance support during our highest production hours. The anticipated schedule is Monday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., with some flexibility available in start and end times for the right candidate.

This role is based at our headquarters in Saint Paul, MN.

Position Objective:

We are looking for a Mechanical Technician to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on our equipment and facilities. This role is also responsible for project work and fabrication.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical machine issues, identify corrective actions, needed parts, and repairs.
• Install and replace mechanical and electrical parts and attachments according to manufacturer specifications.
• Use manufacturer recommendations and onsite experience to create preventive maintenance checklists and schedules for critical production equipment and then complete those checks and services at the specified intervals.
• Record and maintain production, repair, and preventive maintenance information in our maintenance management software.
• Identify repair parts to inventory, purchase repair parts, equipment and other supplies to maintain stock.
• Manage work orders from a cloud-based work order request system.
• Fabricate repair parts and custom parts using a mill, lathe, machine tools, and welding equipment.
• Clean machine and machine parts using cleaning solvent, cloth, air gun, hose, vacuum, etc.
• Communicate with operators to understand machine issues and improvement opportunities.
• Inspect and test damaged machine parts, fix or replace when needed.
• Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing repairs as directed/needed to the facility.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Compensation & Benefits

We anticipate starting pay for this role will be $26-35 per hour and will be dependent on each candidates experience and skillset.
