Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Maintenance Technician with PLC knowledge to inspect, maintain and repair heavy equipment at our Saint Peter, MN facility. You will read schematics, troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems, and perform preventative maintenance with a team of skilled technicians.

The role offers the typical 45-hour work week, a $2 shift premium for 2nd shift, and a comprehensive benefits package in a stable, family-owned manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a maintenance technician role in manufacturing.
• Proven experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical and PLC systems.
• Reading and understanding technical drawings and schematics is required.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work safely and collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and respond to signs of malfunction.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks to keep machinery running at peak levels of performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems and components, utilizing schematics and technical drawings.
• Coordinate with the production team to schedule repairs and maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Document all maintenance and repair work, maintaining accurate records for reference and reporting.
• Keep the maintenance area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary tools and supplies.
• Collaborate with other technicians and staff to share knowledge and solve complex problems.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance technician role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems is essential.
• Technical training or certification in hydraulics, maintenance, or a related field is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Proven ability to adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
• Physical stamina and strength, with the ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Proficiency in using a variety of tools, including power and hand tools, for maintenance and repair tasks.
