Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Atlanta, GA seeks a Mid-Senior Civil Engineer to join the Power Delivery Substation Civil/Structural Group. You will perform engineering design for electrical substations, guiding layout, grading, stormwater, and interface with other disciplines.

Lead design efforts under minimal supervision, develop construction specs and budgets, and ensure QA/QC and safety standards. Hybrid/remote options are available.

Qualifications

• BSCE from ABET accredited college.
• 7 to 10 years of relevant post-education experience in civil engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) exam completed.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Self-leadership, attention to detail, multitasking, and prioritization in dynamic environments.
• Independent work with mentorship to junior team while maintaining QA/QC.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil design for electrical substations from concept through final design.
• Develop stormwater calculations and site layout supporting projects.
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines on interface points and constructability.
• Prepare civil construction specs, cost estimates, and project schedules.
• Interact with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients professionally.
