Job description

Sayres is currently seeking an experienced Mid Program Management Analyst with an active SECRET clearance, verifiable in DISS, in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities:
  1. Support defense acquisition activities by developing and maintaining briefings, facilitating meetings, and providing research and responses to action items.
  2. Apply knowledge of DoD and Navy policies related to defense acquisition to ensure tasks are executed in accordance with guidance.
  3. Assist in preparing briefings supporting acquisition decisions and facilitate effective communication.
  4. Attend meetings and prepare detailed minutes documenting discussions and decisions.
  5. Conduct research and prepare responses to action items, offering insights and recommendations.
  6. Participate in Quarterly Program and/or Progress Reviews (QPRs).
Additional Duties:
  1. Utilize expertise in DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process) to facilitate acquisition processes and ensure compliance.
  2. Assist in contract management activities related to maintenance and modernization projects.
  3. Communicate effectively with SES/Flag level personnel to facilitate stakeholder engagement.
  4. Contribute to the development of lifecycle management documents for program planning and execution.
  5. Leverage shipbuilding experience for insights during acquisition management processes.
Qualifications & Clearance Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Management or relevant experience.
  2. 7+ years of experience in program management, with at least 3 years in DoD/DoN program, contracts, or acquisition management.
  3. Active Secret Clearance verifiable in DISS/JPAS.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Master's degree in Engineering or Business Management.
  2. Possession of Project Management Professional (PMP) certification for 3+ years.
  3. NAVSEA experience.
  4. 10+ years of experience in program management, with at least 5 years in DoD/DoN program, contracts, or acquisition management.
