Job summary

Factory is seeking a Solutions Engineering Manager to build and lead the Mid-Market Solutions Engineering team. You will own the full lifecycle from discovery to production, partnering with Sales, Product, and Engineering to ensure technical wins and long-term customer success.

You will hire, coach, and set standards for the team, while remaining hands-on for critical deals and escalations. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role in a fast-growing startup environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years leading enterprise solutions teams including at least one team built from scratch.
• Proven track record sourcing, assessing, and closing senior technical talent.
• Strong foundation in modern software development workflows and AI coding tools.
• Ability to partner with Sales while protecting technical integrity and customer trust.

Responsibilities

• Build the Mid-Market Solutions Engineering team: define hiring profile, recruit and close founding engineers, grow the team with pipeline.
• Design and implement the team’s operating playbook across discovery, pilot scoping, success metrics, security reviews, production rollout, and adoption.
• Own the team’s technical win rate, pilot-to-production conversion, and post-sales expansion; report to GTM leadership.
• Partner with Sales leadership and Account Executives to run high-quality technical discovery, demos, and proofs of concept linked to customer outcomes.
• Carry accounts directly during ramp, and serve as escalation point for complex evaluations and high-stakes deals.
• Onboard and coach engineers; set expectations, career paths, and ramp time with enablement.
• Voice of the field: feed customer insight back to Product and Engineering.
