Job summary

Brown and Caldwell is seeking a Mid-Level Engineer / Project Engineer in Richmond to design and manage municipal water-wastewater infrastructure projects. You will coordinate with SUE, geotechnical, and survey teams, perform hydraulic calculations, develop plans, and ensure regulatory compliance under senior supervision.

You will contribute to site planning, design documentation, and project delivery while mentoring junior staff and maintaining client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required or equivalent experience.
• Experience with municipal water-wastewater infrastructure preferred.
• Fundamentals of Engineering exam or Engineer-in-Training status preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, design, and creation of civil engineering plans and reports.
• Coordinate with SUE, geotechnical, and survey subconsultants to meet project requirements.
