Job summary

Wintermeyer Ventures is seeking an early Recruiting Hire to lead end-to-end hiring for engineering and other technical roles, partnering with leadership to build the recruiting function for a fast-moving technical team.

You will manage full-cycle recruiting for software engineering, infrastructure, applied AI, and product engineering, and build outbound sourcing pipelines to attract strong candidates. This role is remote within the United States, with San Francisco as the primary location.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of technical recruiting experience in fast-growth environments.
• Proven ability to source, engage, and close engineering candidates.
• Experience building outbound sourcing pipelines from scratch.
• Familiarity with software engineering, infrastructure, full-stack, and AI roles.
• Comfort using LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS, sourcing tools, and email sequencing.

About the Role

Join an early-stage AI training data company as an early recruiting hire, owning end-to-end hiring for engineering and other technical roles. You will partner with company leadership to build the recruiting function and help bring in talent for a fast-moving technical team.

What You'll Do

• Manage full-cycle recruiting for software engineering, infrastructure, applied AI, and product engineering roles.
• Build outbound sourcing pipelines for technical candidates from AI labs, quantitative firms, and high-growth startups.
• Partner with leadership on hiring strategy, role calibration, interview design, and candidate closing.
• Deliver a thoughtful, responsive candidate experience throughout the recruiting process.
• Establish recruiting systems, workflows, templates, and talent market maps.

What We're Looking For

• At least 2 years of technical recruiting experience, ideally in a high-growth startup, AI company, or technical recruiting agency.
• A track record of sourcing, engaging, and closing strong engineering candidates in competitive markets.
• Experience building outbound sourcing pipelines from the ground up.
• Knowledge of software engineering, infrastructure, full-stack, and applied AI roles.
• Comfort using tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, applicant tracking systems, sourcing tools, and email sequencing platforms.
• High agency and comfort working in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $150,000 to $225,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
