Job summary

Fusion Innovation is seeking a Mid-Level Systems Administrator to support critical web infrastructure and production systems. You will administer Linux servers, maintain secure AWS environments, support web apps, and troubleshoot across infrastructure and applications.

The ideal candidate has strong Linux and AWS experience, understands secure production operations, and can work with databases, OO code, and front-end web technologies. This is a full-time role in a US-based setting.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux and AWS experience in production operations.
• Ability to work with object-oriented code, databases, and front-end web technologies.
• Experience supporting PHP-based applications and MySQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, monitor, and maintain Linux-based servers.
• Patch, upgrade, configure, and harden systems.
• Design and maintain secure AWS environments.
• Monitor availability, performance, capacity, and security.
• Troubleshoot server, app, database, network, and cloud issues.
• Implement security controls and configuration standards.
• Deploy and operate web applications and infrastructure.
• Develop or modify application code using object-oriented languages.
• Support PHP-based applications and services.
• Build web components with HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Manage relational databases and SQL-based apps.
• Support MySQL databases.
• Automate recurring administrative, deployment, monitoring tasks.
• Maintain backups, runbooks, and documentation.
• Identify risks and suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with developers to deploy and troubleshoot solutions.
• Participate in incident response and root-cause analysis.
