Job summary

WSP is seeking a Full-Time Mid-Level Structural (Buildings) Engineer to work from Seattle, WA (also Denver, CO; Tacoma, WA; Portland, OR; San Diego, CA; Virginia Beach, VA) to support the Federal Programs AEC Team on federal, defense and public-sector projects.

The role targets a design-focused engineer who can lead portions of structural work, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams through design and construction phases.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
5+ years of post-education experience in analysis and design of building structures.
Professional Engineer license.
Proficiency with structural codes and design standards.
Experience with structural design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

Independently perform structural analysis and design of new and existing buildings.
Develop structural drawings, calculations, and design documentation.
Coordinate with architectural, civil, geotechnical, and MEP teams.
Lead site visits and construction-phase services.
Provide technical guidance and quality review for junior staff.
Prepare models and BIM data for design delivery.
