Job summary

WSP is seeking a Full-Time Mid-Level Structural (Buildings) Engineer to work out of Denver, CO (also Seattle, Tacoma, Portland, San Diego, and VA locations) on the Federal Programs Team. This role targets engineers with building-design experience ready for greater technical responsibility and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities include design through construction-phase support, mentoring junior staff, and coordinating with other disciplines to deliver safe, code-compliant

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years post-education experience in analysis/design of building structures.
  • Professional Engineer license; strong knowledge of codes and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Independently perform structural analysis and design of new and existing buildings, including gravity and lateral systems.
  • Develop structural drawings, specifications, calculations, and design documentation.
  • Coordinate with architectural, civil, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection disciplines.
  • Lead site visits and construction-phase services; document conditions and respond to submittals.
  • Provide technical guidance and quality review for junior staff.
