Job summary

WSP is seeking a Full-Time Mid-Level Structural (Buildings) Engineer to work across multiple U.S. locations including Portland, OR. The role supports federal and public-sector projects, focusing on design through construction-phase services.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of building-structures experience, PE license, and proficiency with ETABS, SAP2000, RAM Concept, RAM SAFE, Revit and AutoCAD. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff while advancing technical

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer license required or in process.
  • 5+ years of post-education experience in building structures.

Responsibilities

  • Independently perform structural analysis and design of new and existing buildings across materials.
  • Develop structural drawings, specs, calculations and BIM models.
  • Perform calculations and use software to evaluate building loads and connections.
  • Coordinate with architectural, civil, geotechnical and MEP disciplines.
  • Lead site visits, monitor construction-phase activities and document progress.
  • Provide technical guidance and quality review for junior staff.
  • Adhere to safety requirements and project procedures.
