Job summary

WSP is seeking a Full-Time Junior Structural (Buildings) Engineer to join our Federal Programs AEC Team from Denver, Seattle, Tacoma, Portland, or Virginia Beach. The role targets engineers with 1–3 years of post-education experience seeking broad exposure, mentorship, and hands-on project delivery from design through construction support.

The candidate will perform structural analysis, develop drawings and calculations using ETABS, SAP2000, RISA-3D, RAM Concept, SAFE, Revit, and AutoCAD, and

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years post-education experience in structural engineering.
  • Familiarity with structural building codes and design standards.
  • Proficient communication and interpersonal skills for engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design of new and existing buildings under supervision.
  • Develop structural drawings, calculations, and design documentation.
  • Use structural software to evaluate loads and design members and connections.
  • Coordinate structural requirements with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Prepare complete structural calculations and BIM models.
  • Assist with site visits, construction-phase services, and safety procedures.
