Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Junior Structural (Buildings) Engineer to join our Federal Programs Team across Denver, Seattle, Tacoma, Portland, or Virginia Beach. You will support structural projects for federal and public-sector clients from design through construction-phase services.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with 1–3 years of post-education experience, and are proficient with ETABS, SAP2000, RAM Concept, Revit, and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant post-education experience.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and design standards.
  • Clear communication with engineering and non-engineering audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design for new and existing buildings.
  • Develop drawings, calculations, and design documentation.
  • Evaluate loads and design structural members per codes and criteria.
  • Coordinate with architecture, civil, geotechnical, and MEP disciplines.
  • Prepare complete calculations and BIM models using standard software.
  • Participate in site visits and construction-phase services.
  • Complete required safety and project-specific trainings.
  • Adhere to company policies and ethical guidelines.
