Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer for a 12-month contract in Waco, TX. The role involves designing features, improving system performance, and collaborating in an Agile environment across cross-functional teams.

The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in CS or related field and at least 5 years of DoD software development experience, with proficiency in Java, C#, C++, Python, and related tools. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are required.

Software Engineer

Innova Solutions has a client that is immediately hiring for a Software Engineer. Position Type: Full time Contract Duration: 12 months Location: Waco, TX 76705

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new software features and frameworks, delivering high-quality solutions on time and within budget.

Ideal Candidate

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Windows and UNIX based platforms (CENTOS/ROCKY/RHEL 8)
• Expert at JavaFX/Java 11 or greater
• Familiarity with software patterns and modern design methodology (UML)
• Knowledge of Git or Bitbucket, and JIRA
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices (Fortify)
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub).
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with test‑driven development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks.

Pay Range

Pay Range*: $80 to $85/per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
