Job summary

UCP Long Island is seeking a Residential Shift Supervisor for our 31-bed Intermediate Care Facility in Commack. The role is full-time, Tuesday-Saturday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, offering a competitive hourly wage with shift differentials and a clear path into leadership.

You will supervise Direct Care Staff, coordinate daily activities, and support residents to maximize independence while maintaining safety and quality care in a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience supporting individuals with developmental and/or physical disabilities.
• Valid New York State Driver's License and 1 year licensed driving experience.
• Management experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Direct Care Staff during assigned shifts.
• Assign staff responsibilities and daily activities based on individual needs and program requirements.
• Adjust schedules and assignments to ensure appropriate coverage and quality care.
• Mentor staff and promote a positive, professional work environment.
• Maintain attendance, performance, training, and personnel records.
