Job summary

UCP Long Island in Ridge, NY seeks an Assistant Residence Manager to oversee a residential program for individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities. You will work with the Residence Manager to ensure residents receive exceptional care and support while leading a dedicated team.

You’ll also step into a leadership role when the Residence Manager is unavailable, and you will participate in training, supervision, and staff development in a full-time capacity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 to 6 months of related experience in a supportive setting is preferred.
• Valid New York State Driver's License and at least 1 year of licensed driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day operation of a residential program.
• Train, coach, supervise, and evaluate Direct Support Professionals.
• Ensure staff have skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
• Communicate with families, guardians, and advocates about resident progress.
• Monitor medication administration for accuracy and compliance.
• Support implementation of individual goals, plans, and services.
• Maintain a safe, clean, welcoming home environment.
• Assist with regulatory and agency requirements.
• Provide direct support to residents when staffing needs arise.

About the Role
