Job summary

ENERCON is hiring a Mid-Level Instrumentation and Controls Design Engineer for its Nuclear Design Group. The role focuses on PLC/DCS, sensors, and HMI systems for nuclear plants, with opportunities to progress to senior and principal paths.

You will join multi-discipline teams, deliver precise engineering documents, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across projects in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, chemical, computer, or nuclear engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years design engineering experience for instrumentation and control systems.
• Experience with nuclear power plant I&C systems and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering deliverables: drawings, calculations, and analyses to codes and standards.
• Produce engineering documents meeting client, ENERCON, and regulatory requirements.
• Stay current with industry codes and safety practices in nuclear design.
• Drive quality assurance and collaborate across disciplines on projects.
• Provide field support, site walkdowns, and on-site guidance to client personnel.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and support project teams.
