Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to design and analysis of power plant mechanical systems in a hybrid work setting. The role involves applying thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics to sizing, optimization, and technical reporting.

Candidates should have a BSME or MSME and CAD experience with AutoCAD or Revit, plus 2+ years in design and drafting. Strong communication skills and MS Office proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• BSME or MSME with strong background in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
• 1+ years CAD experience (AutoCAD or Revit).
• 2+ years of mechanical engineering project design experience.
• 2 years experience in producing technical plans, fabrication drawings, and models.
• Strong numerical computation and problem solving.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsabilités

• Apply knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
• Prepare calculations, specifications, and technical reports to support client recommendations and reviews; perform equipment sizing and optimization.
• Support project teams in system engineering and the design of power plant mechanical systems.
• Potential travel to client/vendor offices for design reviews and field verification.
