Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to apply thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics to project design, calculations, specifications, and technical reports for client review and recommendations.

You will assist with system engineering of power plant mechanical systems, perform equipment sizing and optimization, collaborate with project teams, and may travel to client or vendor sites for design reviews and field verification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Strong background in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
• Experience with CAD software AutoCAD or Revit.
• Knowledge of producing technical plans, drawings, and models.
• Interest in numerical computations and problem solving.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
• Prepare calculations, specifications, and reports to support client reviews.
• Conduct equipment sizing, optimization evaluation, and selection.
• Travel to client/vendor sites for design reviews and field verification if needed.
