Job summary

ASICS Apps Canada is expanding its Race Roster team and seeks an Intermediate Software Developer to build and maintain software for the Race Roster product. The role offers remote, hybrid, or in-office work options at a Canada-based location with mentorship and collaboration across teams.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of software development experience, strong knowledge of data structures, testing, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of software development experience.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages and technologies.
Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies.
Experience with database systems (SQL and/or NoSQL).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Code development: design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable frontend and backend code.
Testing and debugging: write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; resolve bugs.
Design and architecture: participate in design discussions and contribute to system architecture.
Mentorship: guide junior developers and help grow their skills.
Code reviews: conduct reviews to ensure quality and standards.
Collaboration: work with developers, product owners, and stakeholders.
Performance optimization: identify and address bottlenecks in the app.
Technical debt: identify and suggest improvements to reduce debt.
Agile practices: participate in Agile ceremonies.
