Job summary

Race Roster North America Corporation, doing business as ASICS Apps Canada, seeks a mid-level Intermediate Software Developer to contribute to frontend/backend code, participate in design discussions, and mentor junior developers. This role operates within a flexible work model including remote and hybrid options in North America.

3+ years of software development experience with proficiency across multiple languages and cloud platforms is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and technologies.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies.
• Experience with database systems (SQL and/or NoSQL).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Code Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, efficient, and scalable frontend and backend code.
• Testing and Debugging: Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and reliability. Proactively identify and resolve bugs.
• Design and Architecture: Participate in design discussions and contribute to the architecture of software systems.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior developers, helping them grow their technical skills.
• Code Reviews: Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to standards.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with other developers, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the application.
• Technical Debt: Proactively identify and suggest improvements to reduce technical debt.
• Agile Practices: Actively participate in and contribute to Agile ceremonies.
