Job summary

SMX is seeking a Software Engineer - Front End Web Applications to contribute to the design, build, support, and implementation of the BAS solution. This remote role supports a Washington, DC based customer and requires Public Trust clearance.

The team develops enterprise planning and BI tools using SAC Analytics Designer and JavaScript. You will review requirements, build interactive UI/UX components, optimize performance, and collaborate in code reviews to deliver scalable, secure software for

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent job experience.
5+ years of front-end software engineering experience (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS).
REST APIs experience and data formats such as XML and JSON.
Object Oriented Programming/Design, Web Development and debugging.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively; strong communication skills.
U.S. citizenship required to maintain federal clearance; Public Trust clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

Build enterprise planning and reporting applications using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or other web technologies such as JavaScript.
Review application requirements and interface designs.
Develop and implement highly interactive UI/UX components.
Monitor and improve front-end performance.
Document application changes and developing updates.
Provide feedback on the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
Optimize web applications for scalability and speed.
Participate in code reviews and communicate effectively with team members.
