Job summary

SMX is seeking a Software Engineer - Front End Web Applications to design, build, and support the BAS solution. This remote role supports a Washington, DC–based customer and requires Public Trust clearance.

You will develop interactive UI components using SAP Analytics Cloud and modern web technologies, review design requirements, and help optimize performance across enterprise dashboards and planning apps.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (Software Engineering, Web Development) or equivalent job experience.
5+ years of software engineering experience across front-end web technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS); advanced understanding of JavaScript
REST APIs knowledge; experience creating/consuming APIs with XML/JSON formats.
Experience in Object Oriented Programming/Design, Web Development and debugging.
Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
Strong programming and communication skills.
U.S. citizenship required to maintain federal clearance.

Responsibilities

Build enterprise planning and reporting apps using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or other web technologies.
Review application requirements and interface designs.
Develop and implement highly interactive UI/UX components.
Monitor and improve front-end performance.
Document application changes and updates.
Provide feedback on the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
Optimize web apps for scalability and speed.
Participate in code reviews and communicate with team members.
