Job summary

NOREAS, Inc. seeks a mid-level Geologist for its San Diego, CA office. The role requires 3–7 years in environmental investigation/remediation, with fieldwork and travel up to 25–50%. Local field work in San Diego and site supervision of drilling and sampling are key parts of the job.

BS in Geology required; MS a plus. California PG/GIT preferred; OSHA/HazWoper and safety training highly valued. Proficiency in MS Office, Acrobat, and GIS is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• BS in Geology/Geological Sciences from an accredited university. MS degree is a plus.
• California PG or GIT preferred, or actively pursuing licensure.
• 3 to 7 years of experience in the environmental investigation and remediation industry.
• Proficient with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat (or similar). Experience with GIS is a plus.
• Field task manager/supervisor for drilling, soil sampling, groundwater sampling and remediation projects.
• Travel throughout the U.S. may include up to 25%; fieldwork up to 50% focused on San Diego area.
• OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour, OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety, EM385-1-1 and First Aid/CPR training preferred.
• Strong writing and analytical skills for work plans and reports; proposal and cost estimate support.
• Federal contract experience (NAVFAC SW/NAVFAC NW/USACE) preferred.
