Job summary

NOREAS, Inc. seeks a Civil or Environmental Engineer for our Irvine, CA office. This full-time role targets mid-level professionals with 4–10 years in environmental investigation and remediation, requiring travel and outdoor work. PE licensure is preferred or actively pursued.

Candidates should hold a BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering (MS a plus), be legally eligible to work in the U.S., and be proficient with MS Office and relevant engineering tools. Prior federal contracts are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise complex field projects or act as task/project manager for groundwater monitoring, remediation system design/implementation/operation and maintenance, and related projects.
  • Prepare work plans and reports (investigation, remediation design, feasibility studies).
  • Provide proposal and cost estimate support.
  • Collaborate under a project manager and ensure safety practices on site.

Job description

Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Civil Engineer or Environmental Engineer. NOREAS, Inc. has immediate openings for a mid-level position ranging from 4 to 10 years of experience in the environmental investigation and remediation industry. The full-time position will be based at our Irvine, California office, and will require some travel.

Position Requirements and Key Responsibilities:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited university. MS degree is a plus.
  • California Professional Engineer preferred, or is actively pursuing licensure.
  • 4 to 10 years of experience in the environmental investigation and remediation industry.
  • Proficient with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat (or similar). Experience with GIS and/or CAD is a plus.
  • Works under the direction of a project manager or serves as a task/project manager for groundwater monitoring, remediation system design/implementation/operation and maintenance, and other environmental/construction projects.
  • Capable of supervision of complex field projects.
  • Travel and field work, approximately 25-50%, which may be throughout the U.S.
  • Ability and willingness to work outdoors and to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Commitment to supporting a safe work environment.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills for preparation of work plans and reports (investigation, remediation design, feasibility studies, etc.).
  • Proposal and cost estimate support.
  • Experience working on Federal/Department of Defense contracts (specifically NAVFACSW, NAVFACNW and USACOE) is preferred.

Salary range: $100,000 - $140,000
