Job summary

USL Technology Consulting Inc in New York City seeks a mid-level Energy Engineer to support commissioning, energy auditing, and retrofit projects for multifamily, commercial, and institutional buildings in the NYC metro area.

You will contribute to the NYC Accelerator Program, analyze large data sets, review drawings, and develop energy savings strategies while coordinating with project managers and owners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 2-5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with HVAC systems in large multifamily or commercial buildings.
• Experience conducting field inspections related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment.
• Experience working with large data sets.
• Experience managing small to mid-size projects.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning and testing for building projects.
• Review construction documents and provide recommendations to improve constructability, indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and operations.
• Inspect installations of building equipment and review energy savings calculations.
• Lead development of energy savings strategies and calculations and ensure program compliance.
• Collaborate with NYC Accelerator Program teams and assist with data analysis for building databases.
• Communicate with owners, developers, architects, engineers, and contractors; train junior staff where applicable.
