Ryder System, Inc. in North Charleston, SC is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician to service heavy-duty vehicles. The role offers a 2nd shift, Mon–Fri schedule, with weekends off and a starting hourly rate of $29.50 plus bonuses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certifications preferred.
• Basic tools required for the job.
• Experience with mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Identifies root causes and replaces defective components as needed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the complaint.
