Ryder System, Inc. in North Charleston, SC is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician to maintain heavy-duty vehicles on the 2nd shift (1:30 pm – 10:00 pm), Monday–Friday with weekends off. The role offers comprehensive benefits and weekly pay, with certification and quarterly bonuses.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, plus technical certifications; CDL-A preferred. Beneficial to have ASE certs and strong diagnostic skills for maintenance and repairs.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical repair of automotive engines preferred.
• Demonstrated aptitude in preventive maintenance and diagnostics.
• Valid CDL Class A is preferred but not always required.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with drivers to determine the nature of the complaint.
• Follows safety, DOT, and company guidelines during operations.
