Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or Technical Certification, preferred
• Basic tools, required
• Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
• Two years or more of classroom training and work experience
• Valid CDL Class A, preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs
• Performs preventive maintenance
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment
• Identifies root cause of failures and performs repairs
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation
• Complies with safety, DOT, and MOT guidelines
• Performs other support duties as required
