Job summary

HOLT CAT in San Antonio is seeking a mid-level diesel technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment and related components, following established procedures. The role supports customer needs and departmental goals.

The incumbent will work independently or as part of a team, mentor others, and maintain safety and quality standards while handling parts, documentation, and overtime as required.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of diesel-powered heavy equipment repair experience preferred.
• Ability and knowledge to read/use schematics and diagrams is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduation from a diesel technology program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Disassembles and assembles machine components to manufacturer specifications.
• Rebuilds, repairs, and maintains equipment and components.
• Mentors and helps train other technicians.
• Completes documentation and adheres to safety policies; works overtime as needed.
