Job summary

HOLT CAT in San Antonio seeks an entry-level diesel mechanic to perform basic inspections, diagnoses, and repairs on diesel-powered heavy equipment. You will work in a collaborative team, following established procedures and safety guidelines, with opportunities to learn and advance within the Power Systems Division.

The role is full-time, onsite, with standard shifts and overtime as needed. Prior diesel-repair exposure or training is preferred, along with a HS diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduation from a diesel technology program preferred.
• Experience reading schematics/diagrams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic disassembles and assembles of machine components per manufacturer specs.
• Assist in rebuilding, repairing, and maintaining equipment.
• Complete repair documents promptly.
• Communicate customer needs to shop management.
• Plan equipment and component repairs.
• Identify parts for return and complete orders.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Work overtime as required.
