Job summary

HOLT CAT is seeking an entry-level diesel mechanic in San Antonio, TX. The role involves basic inspections, diagnoses, and repairs of diesel-powered heavy equipment under supervision, using hand and pneumatic tools per specifications.

You will support the machine division, learn to read schematics, and assist in parts orders while maintaining safe, organized work areas and adhering to company policies.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of diesel engines and heavy equipment maintenance.
• Ability to read/read diagrams and schematics is preferred.
• Willingness to follow established procedures and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic disassemblies and assemblies of machine components per manufacturer specs.
• Support rebuilding, repair, and maintenance of equipment and components.
• Communicate customer needs to shop management and maintain good customer relations.
• Plan equipment and component repairs, and process parts orders.
• Keep work areas clean and organized and complete required documentation on repairs.
