Overview

• Jones Day's Corporate Practice, co-led from New York, encompasses the firm's global M&A and private equity areas of focus.


• The firm has advised clients, including both strategic participants and financial sponsors across industries, on over 3,000 transactions collectively valued at $1.5 trillion in the last five years.


• Associates in this role work across a spectrum of corporate transactions, including public and private mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, divestitures, and joint ventures (strategic side), as well as buyouts, take-private transactions, co-investments, and portfolio company acquisitions and dispositions (private equity side).


• Requires large law firm experience working on M&A and/or private equity transactions, with candidates having experience on both the strategic and sponsor side particularly encouraged to apply.
