Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Architectural Designer to join our team in Oak Ridge, TN or Idaho Falls, ID, with potential travel. You will collaborate with architects and designers to develop technical portions of projects within budget and schedule, focusing on industrial facilities and DOE-related work.

The ideal candidate has experience with IBC, design trends, material application, and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and MicroStation. We value U.S.

Qualifications

Experience designing commercial or industrial facilities.
Deliver projects from concept through detailed design completion.
Experience with International Building Code (IBC).
Producing specifications and reviewing work of other staff for technical accuracy.
Strong knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness.
Ability to follow established Amentum quality procedures and ensure work is completed under those procedures.
US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Design and document technical portions of projects.
Collaborate with teams of architects and designers to meet budgets and schedules.
Lead and coordinate design activities across disciplines.
Produce and review specifications and ensure technical accuracy.
Contribute to quality control and adherence to ISO/NQA-1 style processes.
