Job summary

Amentum hires a Sr. Architect to lead a team of architects and designers in Oak Ridge, TN. The role designs commercial and industrial facilities, ensuring concepts evolve into detailed designs within budget and schedule.

Ideal candidates have extensive architectural experience, TN licensure or ability to obtain it, and knowledge of IBC and construction methods. US citizenship is required, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture from an accredited program.
• 15+ years of experience.
• Registered Architect.
• LEED AP Certification desired but not required.
• Licensed Architect in Tennessee or ability to obtain TN licensure within 6 months.
• Experience designing commercial and industrial facilities.
• Deliver projects from concept to detailed design.
• Strong knowledge of IBC and specifications.
• Knowledge of design trends, construction methodology, material application, and supplier appropriateness.
• Follow Amentum quality procedures; work under QA processes.
• Experience with ISO 9000 or NQA-1 quality systems.
• Proficient in Rev it, AutoCAD, Microstation; Microsoft Office.
• US citizen required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of architects and designers to complete technical portions within scope, budget and schedule.
• Prepare and review project designs from concept to completion.
• Ensure compliance with IBC and project specifications.
• Apply construction methods and materials appropriately in designs.
• Adhere to Amentum QA procedures and quality systems.
• Collaborate with teams to meet program goals and timelines.
