Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP in Baltimore, MD is seeking an experienced Transportation - Highway Engineer to join our team onsite. You will contribute to highway design projects across the Mid-Atlantic region, supporting Senior Project Engineers with roadway alignments, design plans, cost estimates, and technical reports.

The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, 5–10 years of highway experience, and proficiency with MicroStation, InRoads,

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 5–10 years of relevant highway engineering experience.
• Proficiency with design software such as MicroStation, InRoads, OpenRoads and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of highway design guidelines and MDOT SHA standards preferred.
• Maryland Professional Engineer license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design on transportation projects, supporting Senior Project Engineers.
• Develop roadway alignments and perform roadside evaluation and design.
• Maintain traffic design, prepare construction plans, specifications and cost estimates.
• Develop technical reports for highway projects.
