Job summary

Talisman Advisory Partners is partnering with a globally renowned engineering and consulting firm to appoint a Water Leader for the Mid Atlantic. A market-facing role combining deep engineering credibility with client trust to grow the water business across the DMV and connections to NY/NJ offices.

Lead a high-performing DC-area water team, mentor engineers, and serve major public-sector clients while expanding opportunities and managing fee strategies.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in water engineering, advisory, infrastructure, or climate/resilience work.
• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or related discipline (Master's preferred).
• Current U.S. Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Strong technical grounding across stormwater management, water resources planning, flood risk management, water infrastructure, advisory, and sustainability.
• Proven ability to win and lead client relationships and pursuits, with public-sector and utilities experience on the East Coast.

Responsibilities

• People leadership & team development for the water practice.
• Provide senior technical oversight and project management across water-related initiatives.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams from feasibility to construction supervision.
• Identify and pursue new opportunities to grow the water practice.
• Represent the firm at industry events to raise profile and win work.
