Job summary

Biodesix is seeking a Regional Sales Director to drive sales and market growth in the Mid-Atlantic region. You will lead a high‑performing field team, mentor sales consultants, and build deep partnerships with interventional pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons, PCPs, nurses and hospital admins to expand product adoption.

This role requires recruiting and developing talent, forecasting, budgeting, and executing strategic plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree from an accredited university is required.
• Sales management experience with leadership responsibility is required.
• Ability to travel up to 70% is required.
• Experience leading commercialization efforts in healthcare is required.
• Background in pulmonology or related diagnostic sales is preferred.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing regional sales team.
• Foster partnerships with physicians, nurses, and hospital admins to drive adoption.
• Identify upcoming territories and ensure market presence with Talent Acquisition.
• Plan and monitor sales strategies to meet or exceed quotas and goals.
• Oversee education and training on product use and onboarding processes.
• Provide market feedback to marketing and leadership on pricing and opportunities.
• Represent Biodesix at meetings and events to strengthen market presence.
• Coach field teams through regular visits and performance reviews.
