Job summary

Uses the nursing process, assesses and plans care, monitors patients, and collaborates with the team; may float to other units. Hours are 24 per week with Saturday/Sunday shifts and variable Friday. Requires RN license and BLS; BSN preferred; typically 1 year ICU experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license; multi-state compact preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care using the nursing process.
• Assess and plan patient care; involve patients and families.
• Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans; document in EHR.
• May float to other units as needed; uphold safety and ethical practice.
