Job summary

aah is seeking a Registered Nurse for the MICU at Atrium Health Union West in Matthews, NC. This full-time role offers 36 hours weekly with 3 x 12-hour shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Experience in critical care is preferred, and candidates must hold an active RN license and BLS. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, monitoring patients, updating care plans, and maintaining accurate EHR documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where care is provided.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care with patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds a culture of safety and continuously evaluates outcomes.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units to meet patient care needs.
