Microsoft Azure SSO and B2B Platform Expert

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Microsoft Azure SSO and B2B Platform Expert for a 6-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.

Work Location

The successful candidate will work in a hybrid arrangement with occasional onsite as required.

Equipment

The successful candidate will be expected to use their own laptop.

Key Tasks

• Overall responsibility – deliver working software that answers the business needs.
• Evaluate client’s business and functional requirements in order to fully explore their needs. Recommend solutions to improve systems and automation.
• Create technical designs, specifications or plans to translate requirements into technical specification documents.
• Design, plan and coordinate effective software using appropriate tools and operating systems to increase efficiency and productivity, and reduce costs.
• Develop effective program code (in accordance with security standards), test and provide documentation for new releases or application upgrades.
• Translate specifications document into program code.
• Assist in the provision of user documentation.
• Create technical specifications, project plans and other documentation for review.
• Review and identify the requirement to repair and maintain current systems and software to ensure they continue to perform in keeping with client expectations.
• Ensure all issues concerning data integrity, security, confidentiality, and user secrecy are dealt with.
• Ensure daily the systems in production are functional and performing, and backup and recovery processes and procedures are completed properly.
• Develop and maintain plans outlining steps and timetables for small development projects, including analyzing and estimating feasibility, costs, time and compatibility with hardware and other programs.
• Provide advice and training to system administrators to raise the proficiency of all parties.
• Ensure the development and maintenance of instructional materials for admins to facilitate supporting the solution.
• Provide recommendations to improve and enhance existing standards and procedures and improve the quality of the services provided to the users.

Key Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT work experience in systems administration and programming.
• 5+ years of experience in analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of enterprise scale integrations based on Microsoft Azure.
• Experience working with Azure SSO, B2B, SAML, Entra ID, Open ID Connect, Microsoft Graph, Azure API.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in setting up federation between domains and tenants.
• Experience in application security in Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience with mapping identities and manipulating SAML tokens.
• Experience in handling Azure MFA.
• Experience with API or services integrations and a firm understanding of implementing solutions with multiple data sources.
• A strong understanding of systems programming, graphical user interfaces, and control languages.
• Ability to evaluate vendor software packages and make recommendations to IT management.
• Ability to modify and/or debug vendor-supplied utilities and packages.
• Ability to modify, install, and prepare technical documentation for system software applications.
• Ability to diagnose, isolate, and debug software problems and perform problem resolution.
• Ability to monitor systems capacity and performance, plan and execute disaster recovery procedures, and provide Tier 2 technical support.
